Projectprijsvraag
ZAAL5 is het platform voor beeldcultuur van Filmhuis Den Haag. Hier worden programma's en projecten met bewegend beeld gepresenteerd die niet in de reguliere filmzaal te zien zijn. WORKSPACE is de jaarlijkse prijsvraag waarin ZAAL5 op zoek gaat naar talentvolle filmmakers en kunstenaars die zich bezighouden met film, nieuwe (interactieve) media, video-installaties, performance en visuals.
Om deel te nemen aan WORKSPACE 10, dien je een projectplan in voor een site-specific installatie met bewegend beeld in ZAAL5. Een deskundige jury kiest twee winnaars die elk €9.000,- krijgen en vier weken ZAAL5 ter beschikking voor de realisatie en expositie van hun plannen. Daarna gaan de winnende projecten op toernee door Nederland.

Project competition
ZAAL5 is the Filmhuis’ platform for media arts. This multifunctional room is dedicated to programmes and projects using moving images that are not displayed in regular film halls. WORKSPACE is the annual project competition through which ZAAL5 seeks out talented filmmakers and artists working with film, new (interactive) media, video installations, performance and visuals.
To participate in WORKSPACE 10, you need to submit a project plan for a site-specific installation with moving image, suited to ZAAL5. A professional jury will select two winners who are each awarded an amount of € 9,000 and who will have ZAAL5 at their disposal for four weeks to realise and present their projects. After that, the winning projects will go on tour around the Netherlands.
