Indringende speelfilm over een aantal nabestaanden van de volkerenmoord in Screbrenica. Adnan, een jonge accordeonspeler uit het vluchtelingenkamp Belvedere is het sombere leven van zijn familie zat en meldt zich aan voor het televisieprogramma ‘Big Brother’. Terwijl zijn moeder en tante rouwen om verloren familieleden, doet Adnan een gooi naar eeuwige roem. Het contrast tussen deze twee werelden kan niet groter. Regisseur Ahmed Imamovic toont ze afwisselend in zwart-wit en kleur.

Dion van den Berg is the first speaker and represents IKV Pax Christi.
IKV Pax Christi is a Dutch NGO that works together with partners and
communities in order to prevent and stop armed conflicts and aims to
build peace and justice. The speaker will reflect on the situation in
Srebrenica in 1995 and on Dutch involvement there. He will also provide
an analysis of what has happened to the surviving relatives, what
actions have been taken by those survivors, what help has been offered
to them and to what extent is there a conflict between different
generations of survivors.
The second speaker is Mina Vidakovic who works as a journalist with
Sense Agency, an independent organization that – among other activities –
reports on the work done by the International Criminal Tribunal for the
Former Yugoslavia. She will provide a more detailed analysis of
tribunal cases that have been held and will be held against persons
accused of responsibility for the Srebrenica genocide.
