Tony en BAFTA-winnaar Ralph Fiennes (Antony & Cleopatra, Schindler's List, Coriolanus) en Olivier Award-winnaar Indira Varma (Present Laughter, Game of Thrones, Luther) schitteren in een gloednieuwe productie van William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Een meeslepend verhaal over hebzucht, moord, deceptie en bijgeloof. Er kleeft bloed aan de handen van een stel, gecorrumpeerd door hun meedogenloze lust voor macht. Eenmaal de grens over, is er geen weg meer terug. Het theaterstuk, geregisseerd door Simon Godwin (Antony & Cleopatra, Romeo & Juliet, Hansard) en met set en kostuumontwerp door Frankie Bradshaw (Jerusalem, Blues for an Alabama Sky), wordt voor bioscoopvertoning live opgenomen in Dock X, een pakhuis omgebouwd tot theater in Londen. De live-registratie brengt het publiek nog dichter bij het drama en de personages van deze in de pers bejubelde uitvoering.

Tony and BAFTA winner Ralph Fiennes (Antony & Cleopatra, Schindler's List, Coriolanus) and Olivier Award winner Indira Varma (Present Laughter, Game of Thrones, Luther) star in a brand new production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth. A compelling story about greed, murder, deception and superstition. There is blood on the hands of a couple, corrupted by their ruthless lust for power. Once you cross the border, there is no way back. The play, directed by Simon Godwin (Antony & Cleopatra, Romeo & Juliet, Hansard) and with set and costume design by Frankie Bradshaw (Jerusalem, Blues for an Alabama Sky), will be recorded live for cinema screening in Dock X, a warehouse converted into a theater in London. The live recording brings the audience even closer to the drama and characters of this performance that was acclaimed in the press.
